2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan vs 2019 Bentley Bentayga
SUVs and crossovers are finally making their way into the exotic and high-end luxury markets. We’ve been familiar with the Bentley Bentayga for quite some time, but now, Rolls-Royce is getting in on the action with the recently released Cullinan. You can’t go wrong with either of these SUV options, but if you’re struggling to decide between the two, we’ll help you compare by matching up the 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan vs the 2019 Bentley Bentayga here.
Like we said, you can’t go wrong with either of these SUVs, but we’ll look at a few different aspects of each vehicle to help you learn more about what you like from each model. If you have any questions along the way, you can feel free to contact us at St. Louis Motorcars.
Cullinan vs Bentayga Performance Specs
At launch, the Cullinan comes with one uniform power plant. It’s a biturbo V12 that pumps out 563 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. That should be more than plenty, but for those who want more, moving up from the V8 version of the Bentayga to the V12 can boost things to 600 horsepower.
You can expect fewer stops to fill up at the pump with the Cullinan, though. It has 18.8 combined mpg compared to the Bentaya V12’s 15 combined mpg.
Interior Comparison of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga
Inside, the first difference you may notice between these two models is that the Bentayga has space for 7 passengers, whereas the Cullinan can seat up to 5 people. But that’s the thing… The Bentayga is great for families, where you expect to shuttle kids or their friends around in the rear seats. The Cullinan, though it is perfectly fine for families of 5, is designed for supreme luxury first and foremost.
This is made clear through its rear seat glass partition, and that’s something you won’t find on the Bentayga, or any other SUV for that matter. In what other ways is the Cullinan on another level of luxury? Well, there are many examples, but one of our favorites would be the center screen preset buttons (that can be programmed to pull up navigation, climate control or whatever you want) where simply applying your finger to them without actually pushing the button down will give you a preview of what that button does just in case you forgot. You’ll also find heated front/rear armrests, the ability to use the rear touch screens to send navigation directions to the front of the car for the driver to see, and a cargo loading floor that can shapeshift at the press of a button allowing the floor to be completely flat or aligned with the rear seats for easy cargo loading.
So, which of these models is right for you? Will you go with the classic look of a Rolls-Royce in SUV form or the sportier design of the Bentayga? Will you opt for performance power or world-leading luxury on an unrivaled level? There is no wrong choice, but there is much more to learn if you’re interested, so contact us at St. Louis Motorcars with your questions and one of our product experts will be able to assist you.
