Lamborghini Huracán Evo Performance Capability Expectations
Lamborghini recently unveiled the new Huracán Evo, which, as they describe, is “the next generation V10 sports car, based on the prowess and performance of the Huracán Performante and incorporating next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics.” Well, that all sounds incredibly exciting, but if you want to learn all the details behind the statement, we’ll dive into them right here by exploring what you can expect from the car’s performance capabilities.
Huracán Evo Engine Specs and 0-60 MPH Time
Let’s get started by taking a look at what’s under the hood. The Huracán Evo is equipped with a 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine. It features titanium intake valves and altogether delivers up to 620 horsepower at 8,000 rpm. On the torque side, it’s pumping out around 443 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm.
As is often the case with European cars, we don’t have a 0-60 time, but we do have a 0-62 mph time (aka 0-100 km/h), and the Lamborghini Huracán Evo makes the sprint in just 2.9 seconds while reaching a top speed of 201 mph.
What Is the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI)
But we can’t talk about performance without also talking about the Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI). According to Lamborghini, the LDVI is essentially a central processing unit that can adjust the car’s driving dynamics.
At the center of the car are accelerators and gyroscope sensors. These are used to detect vehicle movement in all directions. With this information, the car’s magneto rheological suspension can adapt damping instantly to fit the car’s performance needs. The Huracán Evo also has a new traction control system that allows power to be sent to one single wheel at a time for improved traction.
With all of this and more working together, in addition to outside driving conditions, the LDVI can predict driver intentions to optimize the car’s dynamics.
