New Bentley Bentayga Speed Performance Specs and Release Date
Well, we gave you a sneak peak on our blog at what you might be able to expect from a Bentayga Speed model should the rumors of its production actually be true. As it turns out, we received confirmation of the Bentley Bentayga Speed even sooner than expected, as Bentley has just announced the model will be going into production with performance specs that already have the automotive world abuzz ahead of its release date.
So, now that everything has been officially announced by Bentley regarding the Bentayga Speed, what do we actually know about it? Bentley has actually revealed quite a lot, including the fact that the Bentayga Speed is the world’s fastest production SUV.
With a top speed of 190 mph, the Bentayga Speed is the fastest production SUV ever manufactured to date. But it’s not just the top speed that makes this thing fast, as it can also sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
This is thanks in part to a 626 horsepower engine that pumps out up to 664 lb-ft of torque. The engine is a twin-turbocharged power plant paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and four Drive Dynamics modes: Comfort, Bentley, Sport and Custom.
Bentayga Speed Interior Features
It isn’t just areas of performance where the Bentayga Speed kicks things up a notch. Inside, luxury abounds with a handcrafted interior newly equipped with a split-color theme that sees use of Alcantara trim in the Bentayga for the first time ever, while drivers who prefer leather can opt for it at no cost.
Contrast stitching is expanded for use in the diamond quilting found on the Bentayga Speed’s seats. And, speaking of seats, Bentley has replaced the iconic winged design we know from the automaker with the word “Speed” embroidered on the seat.
The Bentayga Speed is an exciting addition to Bentley’s SUV lineup. As for when you can expect to order the Bentayga Speed, that should start taking place later this year following the model’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
